As previously laid out in my blog schedule, Friday posts are centered on readings from the Catechism of the Catholic Church. However, in light of the tragedies that have occurred this week, I would like to dedicate this post to all those suffering as a result of various catastrophes across the United States. (For those who are interested in today’s excerpt click here to read it yourself!)
During the course of this week many lives have been changed. Many of these individuals were either victims of the Boston Marathon bombing or the plant explosion near Waco, Texas. Please take up those who have been wounded as well as their loved ones into your loving arms. Please Lord, ease them of their pains, whether they be physical, mental, or emotional. As for Your children who have died in these devastating events, may they be welcomed into Your beautiful kingdom and into Your comforting embrace. Lastly Lord, I pray for those who have turned away from You; those who have been lead astray. I ask that You smother them with your Love. Let Your light shine into the darkness of their hearts so that they may return to the foot of Your Son’s cross in search of Your forgiveness.
